The mainstream of contactless IC smart RF cards (built-in MCU, ASIC, etc.) in the world today is mainly PHILIPS company's MIFARE technology, which has been formulated as an international standard: ISO/IEC 14443 TYPE A standard.

The card reader system designed according to this standard has the following characteristics:

1. Non mechanical contact between non-contact IC card and reader/writer.

2. There are no exposed components on the surface, which will not damage the IC card due to contamination or bending. The card itself is a passive component, small in size, durable and reliable.

3. The reader does not require a card holder and can be completely placed inside the box.

4. When in use, there is no directionality, and the card can skim over the surface of the reader from any direction to complete the reading and writing work.

5. Wireless communication between the reader and IC card.

6. The reader and IC card implement a bidirectional password authentication system, using a three-level DES algorithm for verification. The legality of the recognition of the IC card by the reader/writer. The IC card can recognize the reader/writer and can also specify the read/write permissions of the reader/writer.

7. The issuance of contactless IC cards has strict rules. Adopting internationally recognized mifare standards, the uniqueness of its card number is unique in the world. Secondly, save a portion of the password in the reader and a portion on the card to ensure high confidentiality of the system .
